I've been making these bracelets for twenty years.

Each one is built bead by bead — 3mm sterling silver, 14kt gold fill, or Swarovski crystal, strung by hand and crocheted one bead at a time. Four hours of exact, intentional work. One error and the whole thing unravels. There's no rushing it.

For the past ten years I've been raising my two kids alone after losing their father. So much of that life has been spontaneous, reactive, crisis management. This work is the opposite of that. It demands your full attention. It rewards precision. It doesn't care what else is going on.

I wear at least two every single day. They're quietly elegant. Surprisingly comfortable. The kind of thing you put on and forget you're wearing — until someone stops you to ask.

I'm based in Boston, and part of every year I work from Barcelona, where the light is different and the pace slows down just enough.
